Bananafish Management's Michael Longhi was invited along to the prestigious ceremony, The British Soap Awards 2009 after being nominated in two different categories. Managing Director Joanna Jones accompanied Michael to the star studded event which was attended by a host of celebrities and was broadcast on ITV1. Michael played the semi regular role 'Lee Parker' in BBC's Doctors. It was a pivotal role in an immense and gripping storyline which was rewarded by receiving awards for Best Storyline and Best Single Episode.
Joanna said of the achievement: "It was such a special moment, and a really fabulous night. I hadn't really expected them to win to be honest, so for Doctors to get two awards was superb. Hopefully this shows that we are heading in the right direction and it's also proof that there is new talent coming through. Showsthat maybe if people give new actors a chance, they can grab the opportunity with both hands. Michael did that and I'm very proud of him."
