Everton fans wanted for Dave Kirby's new film
Monday 19 July 2010
Following on from the huge success of award winning comedy film 'Fifteen Minutes That Shook The World', Dave Kirby has penned another hilarious script which is sure to follow in the footsteps of the previous film.
The new film, 'Reds, Blues, Battles & Booze (The ballad of Dixie & Kenny)' is to star various ex players fom Liverpool & Everton, and is to sure to be a big hit with both sets of fans.
It tells the tale of Dixie, an obsessed, rabid blue, (played by Paul Duckworth) who arrives at his fanatical Evertonian sister’s house, which just happens to be next door to a family of crazy reds headed by Kenny (Andrew Schofield). Unbeknown to the blues the reds are planning a European Cup celebration garden party to the horror Dixie who on finding out is hell-bent on ruining the occasion. The ridicule is endless as the flak is fired from both sides of the dividing fence which becomes similar to a World War 1 no-man’s-land trench. In between the onslaught are cameos from ex red & blue players including Howard Kendal as the Blue Bishop and Ian St John as the Red Saint whilst songs from Dixie and Gwladys inside the Bitter & Twisted arms, and Kenny with a red rap song make this a Red and Blue musical fest. Let battle commence!!!
We are currently looking for typical, match going Everton fans who are happy to be chanting, singing and generally fit in as they would do at the match. It's a great scene, being filmed in the Evertonian's pub and although TOP SECRET, it will be filmed with possibly one of Everton's greatest heroes. People interested should email their photos to caitlin@bananafish.co.uk
