Alesha Dixon first found fame in the all-female R&B/garage trio Mis-Teeq. The trio separated in 2005 and Alesha continued pursuing her music career as a solo artist. In 2007 Alesha became a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing and eventually went on to win the competition. Her popularity with the viewers led to her position as a judge on the panel in 2009.
